Chairperson, Board of Directors

Dana currently leads the Bloomington, Illinois-based Scouting team in Labs @ State Farm -- the innovation department within the Fortune 50 and #1 auto and home insurance carrier in the United States.  In this role, she meets with entrepreneurs from across the globe to learn about their businesses, to evaluate alignment to State Farm’s innovation work, and to identify investment targets for State Farm Ventures.  Throughout her time with the company, she has enjoyed her work in corporate finance, strategic planning, performance measurement, banking, risk and compliance, and innovation roles. 

 

Dana also served as the Assistant Vice President for Administrative and Financial Services at Western Illinois University leading the financial, risk management, and emergency planning divisions.  She has earned a bachelor of business in finance from Western Illinois University, a master of business administration from the University of Iowa, and several professional designations in insurance and financial services.

 

She is a dog mom, an aunt to four of the coolest kids on the planet, an avid sports fan, and an Enneagram “8 - Challenger.”  Dana enjoys public speaking and has presented and moderated discussions on a variety of professional and academic topics at conferences and workshops across the United States.  She is actively involved in her church, enjoys volunteering for several community organizations, and is currently serving as the Board Chair for One Hope Project, Inc.
